Why This Reference Exists
Michigan public-record rules can make some booking material available, but the responsible office changes with the record and the custody stage. The Ontonagon County Sheriff holds local county material when it is the custodian. The Michigan Department of Corrections maintains OTIS for qualifying state prisoners, parolees, and probationers, while the courts record arraignments and later case events. A booking photo may be requested when retained and releasable, but no public county photo policy says that it will appear online.
The goal is to separate those routes clearly. A current booking is not the same as an MDOC supervision record, a court index is not a jail roster, and a news item is not an official custody confirmation. This site points to official sources and explains the records-request route. It never republishes images or builds a gallery of people.
